Understanding Hospice Care
Hospice care is a compassionate approach for individuals with terminal illnesses, focusing on comfort and quality of life when curative treatments are no longer pursued. It involves a multidisciplinary team providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support to both patients and their families, often in the patient’s home or a homelike setting.

Our Responsibilities
Managing pain and symptoms
They focus on relieving pain or other symptoms like nausea or breathing problems. To do this, they use a mix of medication and other treatments to try to keep the patient as comfortable as possible. They also check in to see how the patient is doing and adjust the medication where needed.
Providing emotional support
Emotional support is a big part of hospice care. The team here offers counseling when needed and is always willing to listen to the patient and the family about any worries or feelings they have.
Administering medications and providing equipment
A big part of end-of-life care is making sure that the patients have the right medicines and medical supplies. The team can arrange for oxygen, mobility aids, and pain management treatments and help train the family on how to use these. Therefore, the patient can have great care at home or in our hospice.
Coaching Caregivers
The family is usually heavily involved in helping take care of the patient, and our team can help train you on how to do this. This could include showing how to administer medications, manage the symptoms, or use specialist equipment. They are also on hand to answer any questions.
Delivering specialized services
Aside from regular care, we can offer special services specific to the patient's needs. These could include speech therapy to help with communication, physical therapy to help keep the patient mobile, or occupational therapy to assist with daily tasks. This helps maintain the patient's independence.
